Frigidaire Washer Door Lock Buzzing

I just replaced the door lock assembly on my frigidaire infinity washer.

There is the door latch which can fracture or get jammed. My frigidaire front load washer model fwtbb30dso makes a loud buzzing noise during wash cycle it seems to come from the door lock. To open it simply stop the washer and wait 1 to 3 minutes for the safety lock to release. Since that door lock assembly is buzzing it should be getting voltage from the timer.

Seems to be a vibration buzz. Once the washer door is closed the washer can begin operating. The washer will not start unless it detects that the door is locked. Find the most common problems that can cause a frigidaire washing machine not to work and the parts instructions to fix them.

If i push on the door or hold it up slightly it might stop briefly but starts up again. There is the striker plate on the door itself which can crack or get jammed. Since the lock assembly is buzzing but won t lock the door i recommend that you unplug the washer and check the wiring connections between the timer and that door lock assembly. Push the start pause button to stop the current wash cycle.

For your safety the lid on a frigidaire top load washer cannot be opened during the spin cycle. You should now be able to pry the washer s door open to add clothes or remove items.
