So when i put in the new fan i unbent the support arm as much as i could.
If the fan still wobbles keep moving the clothespin from blade to blade until you find the culprit.
It may be due to a low quality ceiling fan but it could also be due to a balancing issue.
Turn the fan on a low speed and see if it still wobbles.
This is something that can occur even in regular ceiling fans as a consequence of regular use.
I fixed that and fan no longer wobbles.
Attic fans usually last around 4 5 years if they re used regularly.
Perhaps you don t feel like repairing it or you can t find the right parts either.
If your ceiling fan wobbles and makes more racket than an unbalanced washing machine load read on.
If mismatched blades is causing your fan to wobble you can purchase a ceiling fan balancing kit to attempt to balance the blades.
So i fixed it.
If one of the blades on a ceiling fan has any more than 2 or 3 grams weight difference from one to another this is enough to cause ceiling fan wobble.
This may keep your fan from being so annoying while it s operating.
This attic fan motor is the most expensive repair for attic exhaust fans.
If the motor isn t working you will need an attic fan motor replacement or attic replacement fan.
